( https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0009254103002547 ) Jason & Velbel (2003) compared various weathering indices(WIP,CIA,CIW,PIA,V(VOGTS RESIDUAL INDEX) for various rheological entities and suggested that WIP (Weathering Index of Parker) is the most suitable index for a heterogenous parent rock. However many authors are still employing CIA for assessing the paleoweathering conditions. Kindly suggest which indices one should use when dealing with Archean clastic sedimentary rocks like Diamictites/P. Conglomerates/Greywackes having a wide range of provenance lithology .
