In the is literature, coordination is an imminent subject. However, there seems to be no consensus about how to think about coordination and theorise about it (see e.g. Okhuysen & Bechky (2009) "Coordination, the process of interaction that integrates a collective set of interdependent tasks, is a central purpose of organizations. (p. 463). The new wave of research spans multiple disciplines and pays attention to different aspects of the problem of coordination, leaving us without a coherent framework (p. 464).
