For inflammation, you can do kit based TNF alpha estimation

The only in vitro techniques are based on cell line approaches; the results are difficult to interpret because of the complexity and multifactorial nature of the inflammatory process. I suggest simplest and cost-effective methods like carragenan-induced paw edema or cotton wool-induced granuloma.

Thanks to both of you. I will see whether these techniques are available at my place or not.

I want to know different in vitro studies which are easy to work out. Idea behind this is: I have made molecules but only small amount of compound is needed for one test. If I can do in vitro basic testing on other different diseases, and by any chance, I get good activity.. It will be just great. Off course, I know there are many diseases and complications in human body and thus I want feasible, cheap in vitro testings as I cant go to testing on all diseases.

If you are working within the pharmaceutical chemistry field, you should have an idea (according to the SAR of your molecule and the lead compound that you have started with) about the suspected biological activity; then you can easily find direction to start bilogical evaluation. However, if your molecule(s) appeared like those with pleotropic activity (expected) you may find some difficulties to choose which activity you have to follow; this issue needs thorough discussion with your supervisor or department team.

my idea was different. I will surely test my molecules with expected activities. But i want to check other activities which are feasible. So suggest me the activities which are low cost and easy.

Dear , i do not understand what you mean cheaper . you know the research is not cheaper. i can suggest you to collaborate with those who can test and give you result which are publishable if it target oriented. Any disease means nothing . you should target the disease or any biomolecule involved in disease or therapeutics. However i have set up in my lab and ready to help you out.

For peroxidation the T-BARS assay is very easy, and cheap.

i know research and cost of it. Researcher from Developing country should understand cost of research. I want cheaper as test are 'extra' work. I will test my molecules on decided target first and then ll see for extra activity study. Thanks for ur help. I will ask you when i need it.

You can perform Brine shrimp lethality test, anti-fugal tests with different human strains, anti-bacterial tests

But, concerning the Brine shrimp lethality test, you need to have some care about how to discuss the results. This assay is a little old, but very used by phytochemistry researchers, and can give you a preliminar result about toxicity, or even if it´s biologicaly active - what can mean an pharmacological activity.

The Anti bacterial activity can be checked in vitro, its easy and not costly The Gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilus, whereas Gram-negative one are Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, salmonella typhi and shigella flexneri may be used. Activity is reported in terms of zone of inhibition in millimeters
