Which acid easily can deprotect the pinacol (aldehyde protected by pinacol)?

I am going to do in situ one pot deprotection of (pinacol protected aldehyde) by using Acidic conditions and subsequent reaction by hydrazine in the presence of THF/Mesitylene to form COFs.

Which acid can do better deprotection and allow the reaction of aldehyde with diamine/hydrazide etc to produce COFs in one pot reaction.
