When I am culturing Phanerochaete chrysosporium (procured from MTCC, Chandigarh) in malt extract glucose peptone agar i can observe pink colored bacteria colonies which is not used in our laboratory. Whether i can report ( Is it ethical) it has a isolate in case it produces any secondary metabolite, then what will be the source of isolation.

Dear Baskaran,
Since you are procuring the fresh culture from MTCC, /chances of any contamination in it is quite low. I think it could be some yeast contamination as well.
