Why can't the following questions be asked in the same phenomenological study:
1. What are the experiences of...?
2. To what extent do these experiences vary from one participant to the other?
3. At what stage of the participants interaction with ... do these experiences occur?
At least in my experience, phenomenology is quite open and does not depend from one single research question. More, with only one question it will be difficult or impossible to do a phenomenological research, as this kind of research requires the researcher to keep all his senses open to anything that could arise from his material.
In a phenomenological study ONE OVERARCHING QUESTION is stated. It would often constitute the title of the research. However, other sub-question are also specified.
I am unable think of any kind of phenomenological study with only single research questions. Yes, it will be one main questions, and other supportive questions to it will make it simple and more re searchable.
