if you would like images with height resolution of earth (era) you should retrieve data from GIBS (Global Imagery Browse Services), a service of NASA it's free and in global scale , then search your location of interest , Canada in your case.
I agree with Muhammad, EarthExplorer is a great option. If accuracy requirements allow, editing in Google Earth and exporting a .kmz file (to be brought in ArcGIS for instance) might be an efficient option but I'd be very cautious about measuring anything as the projection can be tricky.
Thanks all. I will take a look at this. I’ve Already search on earthexplorer Nasa/USGS but...there are no data for sites such as Beechey Island, Dundas Harbour, Herschel Island, Prince Leopold Island, all in Canada Arctic.
There are Landsat 8 (15-30-100m) and Sentinel-2 (10-20-60m) satellite images available for the said locations. But I guess the spatial resolutions are not good enough!
In terms of numerical topography (digital elevation models), there is now global coverage with the TANDEM-X mission. These are 0.4 arcsec models (about 10m horizontal grid spacing at your latitudes). And crucially, they are available in high latitudes. You need to submit a proposal to use it. There can be a processing fee but it may also be waived as I understand it. So far, we've never been billed for ours at least! Depending on the terrain, and your exact requirements, the data can be an astonishing advance on what's otherwise available. You get other data besides the DEM - coherence, amplitude etc. etc. The relative vertical accuracy is sub- 1 metre. And the absolute vertical accuracy is also sub 10 metre as I understand it. If you set up an account at the DLR, you will be able to download a global tile map, .kml file for google earth. I think this is open to all research scientists. You don't need a German partner to make an application. Hope this is some use to you. Drop an email to the general inquiries mail address given if you want. They do respond and are very friendly.
Try the EO Browser: https://apps.sentinel-hub.com/eo-browser/
It includes a complete archive of Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, ESA’s archive of Landsat 5, 7 & 8, global coverage of Landsat 8, Envisat Meris, Proba-V and MODIS products.
You can download data from USGS website or earthexplorer, also from the site of the european space agency where you can download Sentinel satellite imagery
Thank you Wael. I should have specified what I meant by 'High Resolution. Definitely, USGS Earthexplorer has no centimeters resolution or 1 meter. So that is not usefull. I am looking for very high resolution....and by the way i think the best would be to fly a lidar+drone over theses sites to get a very nice resolution
