Pero una solución con formaldehído puede desintegrar la ADN y también causar inhibición de PCR, además pienso que podría dañar la integridad de la cáscara. ¿Ustedes hacen investigaciones de helmintos?

Hola. Si. Por muchos años realizamos estudios coproparasitologicos en áreas urbanas y rurales del estado Zulia, Venezuela y acostumbramos guardar en formol las muestras positivas a helmintos y protozoos con fines docentes. Yo soy venezolana y vivi alla hasta el año 2017. Por eso te ofreci las muestras preservadas que todavia permanecen alla. Te paso mi correo ([email protected]) y hablamos por esa vía a ver si existe la posibilidad que mis compañeras de trabajo que todavía están allá, puedan conseguir muestras con huevos de T. trichiura y otros helmintos, sin preservar. No te ofrezco muestras positivas de acá de Ecuador, pues inexplicablemente en donde estoy, la prevalencia de helmintos intestinales es muy baja comparada a la que yo manejaba en Venezuela

Two genetic populations have been found in domestic dogs, one that appears to only infect dogs and one that may infect both dogs and humans; all human infections have been attributed to this second genetic population. Domestic cats are experimentally susceptible to S. stercoralis infections although it is unknown if they have a role as a natural reservoir.

Strongyloides fuelleborni subsp. fuelleborni is a parasite of Old World apes and monkeys. The only identified host of S. fuelleborni subsp. kellyi is humans.

Soil-transmitted helminths are located in the intestine of infected individual which has the ability to produce thousand of eggs each day and passed in the feces. These eggs develop into infective stages and humans are being infected when they ingest infected eggs like Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura or larvae in a contaminated food, hands or utensils or through penetration of the skin by infective hookworm larvae in contaminated soil. STH like Strongyloides is common in rural areas and may be seen in crowded urban setting. It has the ability to disseminate larvae throughout the body.

According to CDC Eggs are deposited in soil through human feces. After 10-14 days in soil, eggs become infective.

Trichuris trichiura can get through ingestion of egg, and Strongyloides stercoralis is by skin penetration of filariform larva.

Broth are produced by parasitic female parasites and becomes infective in the soil
