The paper I am following for Ag/AgBr/Ferrihydrite catalyst preparation (see attached document) mentions the use of a 300W high pressure mercury lamp to photo-reduce Ag+ into Ag on the surface of the catalyst (exposure time: 30min)
I have not had much luck finding that type of UV lamp searching online. Does anyone have an idea whether a cheaper, lower power output lamp could be used in its place fir a longer period of time? (e.g. 50W for 2hrs)
One of the ways could be writing to the authors of the publication mentioned by you in your question.

Deuterium lamps and UV LEDs are less expensive (and lower power) options for UV irradiation
