I am trying to acquire in print some old, out of date journals. Now that libraries are clearing out their collections for online databases, is there a clearinghouse to purchase some specific old editions of academic journals?

Simon - the British Library is an established go-to resource for many.
"Everything is online now " - this is not true. We are very far from this. Many journals are not available online, even for recent volumes. - I am afraid many libraries have thrown away their stocks, and I personally have seen examples for this. Antiquarian bookshops are mostly not interested in journals, because a lot of space is needed to keep them, and journals sell badly. They offer journals only in very special cases. Therefore it is not easy to find specific old editions of academic journals for purchase.
