I am looking for data on "Public spending on education, total (% of GDP)" and "Persons engaged (number of employed persons)" for several countries.
I have problems in finding these two indicators for Bulgaria and Hungary for the moment.
For Bulgaria I have found the "Public spending on education, total (% of GDP)" for the 1990-2011 time period and "Persons engaged (number of employed persons)" for the 1995-2013 time period.
For Hungary I have found the "Public spending on education, total (% of GDP)" for the 1970-2011 time period and "Persons engaged (number of employed persons)" for the 1996-2013 time period.
I would like to find more data.
Can anyone suggest me where else to search?
On the UNESCO statistics website (http://data.uis.unesco.org/) you find under +Education+Education+Financial_resources a large data set on many countries from different sources (government and non-government).

Try the World Bank for education spending as percent of GDP (http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SE.XPD.TOTL.GD.ZS), and for persons employed, you could try the USA Bureau of Labor Statistics for GDP per capita per hour worked (http://www.bls.gov/fls/intl_gdp_capita_gdp_hour.htm). Also, on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis' economic data website (http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/) and the USA government's open data website (www.data.gov) there are data series including those related to education spending and employment, but you'd have to sift through to see which are international.
