Abbott and Von Doenhoff's book has a bunch of plots of lift, drag, and moment coefficients for hundreds of airfoils. Does anyone know if that data has been digitized, and if so, where I can find it?
You could use " Plot Digitizer " software to digitize any kinds of plot. Working with this soft ware is extremely easy. first you open the image file in it. then you calibrate the plot to show max and min value for X and Y coordinate. then you select the points on the plot and save the text file for it. You could download this software from University of South Alabama, Department of Physics site by this address.
I've attached a zip file with the digitized data in it that I found on Xplane.org. Here is a link to the post on Xplane if you're interested: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=2538
Once you open the zip file, there is a Readme.txt file that explains how the data is formatted.
