I'm testing an algorithm for the final phase of my PhD thesis. This algorithm is written in Java (I run it with eclipse) and I need resources to launch it. Academic institutions don't have resources on java to test algorithm. Can someone suggest a resource for my scope?

Since one of main features of java is its crossplatformness, you don't need any "special java" platform. The only thing you need is to have Java executable and JVM core libraries on classpath. If you can't install Java on the server, you can just copy apropriate JVM to your working directory. Usually at least java 6 is by default is installed on most servers, so in general you can just run your code as java -jar .jar.
