I have both of these references but I don't think they'll help you. I'm not surprised that you're not getting many responses. Not only is this a very unusual subject, the definition of "spiral" varies considerably. Even if you did find such information, it would only applicable to a specific type of design and not anything general. Some analyses have been performed on this type of arrangement by using very small finite elements and exceedingly large CFD simulations, but these aren't worth the effort. You get out what you put in, that is, the results depend on how you formulate the problem, which is the opposite of what you want to know.
