Are you trying to copy a virtual machine from one host to another and then run it? Is that what you are trying to ask about?

Actually Im doing research in computational offloading of mobile devices. My question is .. I need to transfer the Virtual Machine at running state from mobile device to the nearest Server in LAN. The Server in LAN also possessing the base VM (The OS of Mobile Device is in Server as a VM) , which is needed to triger from the mobile device to be ready and come to the running state of the Mobile Device. For this purpose we have to create an Overly. But the Overlay which will be send by mobile device to the Server for launching the VM. This Overly Consist of some Linux Script Install-Script And Resume-Script. I dunt have any idea , never used Linux before. Do you understand and Can you do help here.

You have a Linux VM (running on? VirtualBox?), and you want to migrate it on a public cloud (Amazon ec2?). All depends on source (VirtualBox) and destination (ec2).

Do we have virtualization extensions for ARM platforms? As far as I know, not, in that case, how do you implement your VM on the mobile phone? Are you trying to come up with a hypervisor level solution or you assumed that the support already exists on the  hypervisor? If so, the (start-shut down-launch) triggers are gonna be handled via hypervisor, like the VM cold / live migration in vShpere..

[P.S. to me overlay doesn't look like a good term for this purpose]

As Peter had mentioned, without more information on what kind of virtualization you are using and what exactly are you transferring to the server (program state, memory dump, the whole VM image with VRAM file and configuration), I believe that we cannot help you with more instructions on how to do this.

If, you have a VM (HDD image, VRAM file, State file, Config file) and you wish to transfer it, you will need to pause it (make a snapshot), compress/possibly encrypt the snapshot, copy it over the network (it might be a very large packet), unpack/decrypt it on the server, run the snapshot from the recorded state with the VRAM loaded and the same compatible configuration.

For this to work, the server's architecture must support the virtualization used on the mobile phone or the VM will crash.

This is possible, though very impractical.

Its an idea of "Computational Offloading".  Here i am gong to focus on the techniques where we can use any nearest computer in the LAN environment and to offload the complex application processing to that Computer (PC) and then get the result back from the PC. All this process should be fast enough not to reduce user's cognitive engagement. For the crispy response of the system, the mobile device is going this way to use the PC resources instead of its own.  

Now the problem is:   "How to synchronize both the devices to work together"?

The literature I,m studied showed a solution, Dynamic VM Synthesis.   A small virtual  machine overlay will be delivered by mobile device to the LAN Computer that already posses the base VM from which this overlay derived. The infrastructure applies the overlay to the base to derive the launch VM, which starts executing in the precise state in which it was suspended. 

as  Millan Tair , above mentioned the . overlay will consist of Memory State file of the Mobile,s OS.
