I created NDVI from SPOT XS image using Envi remote sensing software. When the image is opened in Arcmap, the value field became spectral values ranges from 0 to 255. I need the original NDVI values in Arcmap.
You shouldn't have saved it as image from "Save image as"; instead you should save it by: File>>Save File as>>TIF,GEOTIF

Did you stored the NDVI image in tif format in ENVI ? In that case, you should get the NDVI values in ArcMap.

That is right guys if it is saved as Geotiff /Tiff you should have the NDVi values.
Yes Kapoi, I used the regression equation depending on random samples of the DN, and the correlation coefficient was 99% mainly for the positive ndvi values. But it did not work for the negative ones properly
Ahmed. please this could have been interfered by the format you saved in, you can probably save in the same format the data is represented and try to import it in arcmap.
I saved it as Geo/tiff but still giving me spectral values in Arcmap!!!!!!!!!!!
In this regard, i understand you, please try and work with one software on this now, preferably arcmap throughout you data processing and see if this will occur again
