You should only select certain elements (e.g. only columns) then assign the hinges. Repeat the procedure if you want to assign hinge to another type of element.
Bhabuk, why don,t you try using hinge only at the 1st and 2nd floor columns. These are the most potential location where hinge can be formed in a framed building. In addition, use hinge at all the beams, and note the difference with the previously observed results.
Hinge formation is expected at column first, since it is more vulnerable to lateral loading.
attached file depicts pushover analysis of a corroded structure. You can see, hinges are formed only in column. Also, In some papers, I found, beams are considered as elastic element.
