It seems the gene is intronless at least in maize and rice, as it is in Arabidopsis, so you could design primers from the cDNA sequence. Anyway, you can check the genomes of monocots that are already completed in Phytozome (http://www.phytozome.net). Just search for homologs to the locus At4g25480 (DREB1A) from Arabidopsis. The closest homolog in maize, for example, is the locus GRMZM2G042756.
