It is forever a balance between experience and education. At some point you might have plenty of experience but limited by your training, and other way round. Also, by the time you have both, your age becomes a factor (you become expensive to the company) - either to keep or as a new appointment.
Hello Andrew, you're right in all that you have expressed. But a smart employer would be happy if anyone who's over qualified is willing to work hard and contribute out of the box ideas to improve the organization. Such an employer will keep the worker as long as the person wants to work. Recently the national airlines retrenched more than 6000 staff. So these people moved off to join Emirates, Vietnam Airlines, and the new employers are reaping big benefits, while our national carrier continues to.make losses. Thanks for the question.
