Consider a duct of rectangular cross-section in x-y plane with a flow along z direction. Let the length of pipe be L. Assuming that at half length there is an opening or hole from where fluid enters, can someone tell what will be the total pressure drop in the flow.

To clarify, one can assume points 1,2,3 as points marked for inlet 1, inlet at mid and outlet respectively.

Had there been no 2 the pressure drop would be as simple as pressure at inlet-outlet.

In this case where we have two inlets, is the following interpretation to calculate pressure drop correct

(P1-P2) +_(P2-P3) =P1-P3? It gives the result as total pressure at inlet - pressure at outlet. Could someone provide clarification regarding this?
