I've used a good bibliography manager (e.g. Mendeley with a private research group to share findings) and some spreadsheet software (I prefer google sheet because it's good when many people are involved). Once all the information is collected, filtered and tagged you can work with some statistical package if you want (although I think that a spreadsheet is enough for many analysis).

UPDATED: I've used some software tools like jabref (library manager) and docear (mind mapping, library manager, text note, PDF manager). At moment, I've used latex (texmaker) as text tool edit software.
I´m using Mendeley. But one point: should we use any different tools for systematic mapping versus systematic review Sorry, but the practial idea of mapping studies is not clear for me!
