I'm currently preparing an academic research project on carbon quantum dots (CQDs), focusing on tuning their optical properties for biomedical imaging. I'm especially interested in understanding how synthesis parameters, such as precursor type, temperature, or surface passivation, affect the emission wavelength and quantum yield.

I've already reviewed general literature, but would appreciate insights from those working in the field:

  • What methods or strategies have you found effective for achieving NIR emission?
  • Are there recent papers or protocols you recommend for controlling photoluminescence?
