What solvent systems other than chloroform can be used to purify AFB1 from AFG1 by silica gel column chromatography ?

On TLC,AFB1 and AFG1 didn't separate well enough after separation with Chloroform based solvent systems?

Perhaps try tetrahydrofuran. Those may difficult to separate, seeing that aflatoxin G1 has a 6 member ring and aflatoxin B1 lacks an etheric oxygen, making a 5 member ring. Also consider toluene. You can run TLC plates to test various solvents systems.
