I want to simulate the emissivity of a structured metallic plate. I am mostly interested in the radiation pattern of the electromagnetic wave emitted when the plate is heated. I found that multiphysics simulators usually consider the inverse case: rise of temperature under EM wave incidence. Any help welcome. Thanks!

I think you can achieve your aim by using COMSOL multiphysics software.

It is a free software developed by MIT based on FDTD. I think you can add random fluctuating sources (according to the fluctuation-dissipation theorem) within the material to simulate thermal radiation.
However, I'm not sure if FDTD is the best method to do this work, because you may have several computational uncertainties, as I explained in the attached paper.
Notice that if the surface is isothermal and opaque you should get the same directional emissivity calculated as 1-reflectivity. So you could use this property to check the valididy of your FDTD code.
