Hello everyone,
I am writing to consult that the right operation of the ammonia gas cylinders for annealing in the lab.
What I can think of is to purge the tube with pure nitrogen for 30 min to remove air before heating to anneal the samples by amonia.
1. Is there anything else that needs to pay attention?
2. I read in the literatures that samples are often heat treated with ammonia gas at 600-900 ℃, but they don't indicate the purity of the ammonia. May I ask is pure ammonia okay for such high temperature?
If you know above questions, please tell me.
Thanks for your help.
