a) What should be the bed weight of an SPE column to completely extract phenol from a sample containing 800 mg/L (100 ml volume) of Phenol? Since the phenol concentration is high in the solution, column breakthrough can be a problem.

b) Is there any method to calculate the breakthrough volume (with bed weight, concentration and volume being provided)?

c) I am using 200mg (3cc) SepPak (Waters) Reverse Phase column. Is it sufficient to completely remove phenol from my sample?
