I am a third-year medical student with a strong interest in diabetes technology and complications. I’m particularly interested in CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring), artificial pancreas systems, hybrid closed-loop systems, and their impact on the progression or prevention of microvascular complications such as diabetic neuropathy, retinopathy, and nephropathy.

A specific area of curiosity is the development of diabetic neuropathy in patients with well-controlled type 1 diabetes. I am seeking opportunities for research, collaboration, or access to datasets in any of these domains, especially focusing on:

CGM accuracy, sensor biocompatibility, and user outcomes

Artificial pancreas systems in low-resource settings

Neuropathy in patients with low HbA1c

Risk factors contributing to complications despite tight glycemic control

If anyone is working on similar projects or knows of relevant research groups or funding opportunities (particularly in underrepresented regions like Palestine or the MENA region), I’d be deeply grateful for connections. Thank you!
