Nanofluids are reported to increase the thermal efficiency of a heat pipe significantly by several researchers. The possible reasons for this performance improvement is not yet clearly investigated thought researchers have suggested possibilities like formation of nanolayer on the evaporator surface and higher fluid thermal conductivity as main factors.
