Hello,

I am working on developing a thin film for solar steam generation from the surface of water.

In the literature I have noticed polymers like Polyethylenimine and PolyDADMAC (Polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride) being utilized to bind the absorber material to the substrate and improve the stability of the film.

My main query is how does one decide on which type of polymer to be used for such a purpose.

Also, due to my limited access to chemicals, are there any other chemicals, apart from water soluble polymers that could function as a stabilizer and binding agent for thin films for the purpose of solar steam generation?

Thank you
