With no doubt in mind that the scientific background helps in producing creative and innovative researcher(s), what topics do you believe should be implemented in the B.Sc. undergraduate curriculum in order to achieve our goal as educators in turning out juniors who can develop the chemistry of the 21 century?
I would highly appreciate providing sources for such topics pdf files or URL web address(es).

We used to have a 3rd year level course which was unfortunately removed for "non-scientific" reasons. It was called (Applied Chemistry) and it contained "hot " topics such as:
energy & energy alternatives, industrial catalysis, large-scale production of the 10 top chemicals & their applications, and environmental impact of industrial chemicals besides an introduction chapter.
The students were fond of that course because its content was rich of information, it related chemistry to daily life, and it presented the value of this science.
A student will be strongly motivated when he/she knows the value of what is learnt.

Your approach for the student career development is highly appreciable. In view of career development, mostly students follow the seniors or diverted from parents. In my graduate time, during last year of B.Sc. I have done One Year Career Oriented Course in Industrial Quality Control.
The course was very good. During that course we have done training at different industries & thereby we knew the industrial workout. In view of syllabus, it has included Analytical techniques like GC, HPLC, KF, etc. I would like to suggest you the same to conduct at your institute.
