Dear Dr Pramela Nair Panthallor thank you for the important question highlighting the need for academic professional development, evolution and adaptation. Personally, I moved in two directions: a) Increasing student engagement in synchronous online meetings towards meaningful learning that sticks [1] through the use of interactive, collaborative platforms such as Miro and Kahoot.

b) I explored deeper the affordances of social virtual reality (VR) platforms for distance education [2] so as to overcome the restrictions and shortcomings of web-based platforms [3].

I think ZOOM is probably the one we will all be using in the last two years. Also, I have tried a couple of LMS's other than Blackboard such as Ed. Other than that there is the great Nearpod to help with teaching.

Google Classroom, Google meet, and learning management system are of value to classroom activities for a year ago.

Good point raised by Stefan Svetsky , I also understand that ZOOM is not a typical educational technology. My dout is if we are talking about educational technologies or tecnologies that have been adapted to the educational context during the pandemic.

In Brazilian public schools we used a lot the Gsuite for education (now Google Workspace) during the pandemic. In 2020/2021 I've participated in Conferences that used ZOOM/Meet for the presentations and Discord to communication between the participants.

Zoom, Google Meet, LMS (D2L-HATE IT, but stuck with it thru school), and I also talked them into getting our department a fleet of Oculus Quest 2 VR Headsets. Still working on widespread implementation for the VR headsets, but I've so far used them with my stage combat and movement students in the School of Theatre. I also plan to use them for faculty meetings, virtual substitution for Zoom, viewing 360-films, and reaching out to other departments on-campus such as nursing, studio art, biology, engineering, etc.

Luke Eddy immersive VR can be a game changer in distance education, especially if participants can take advantage of the social VR affordances. I applaud your initiative and wish you good luck in your endeavour, please keep us posted!

Here in the Philippines, the Grad school I am enrolled in makes use of Google Meet coupled with LMS Canvas. While, in the basic education government schools in our city, the Facebook Messenger is the most popular one among Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom Meeting and Edmodo.
