We know a lot of people in our life. But most of us influenced by a teacher. And which teacher? Which feature?
The teachers who influenced me most were those who genuinely cared for me and not just for my learning.
The teachers who influenced me most were those who genuinely cared for me and not just for my learning.
They care about you; they are passionate about helping you to learn; they find ways to try to connect all learners to whatever content or skills are being learned; they make learning meaningful and memorable; you remember them. The current Australian 'Teacher of the Year', Eddie Woo is a great example, who has become a worldwide Youtube hit (see attached)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq0EGvLTyy-LLT1oUSO_0FQ
But there are many many unsung teachers who kids love, and with a passion for learning or discipline, who never win awards in their life. Their reward is the success of their students.
Children remember their teachers throughout their lives. If the teacher was bad, it leaves even trauma. If the teacher was good, we will have a good person later.
I remember my first teacher. She had strong makeup and it scared me.
Fortunately, it was short. After that comes the teacher who was so good person. He had a sense of humor and gave us attention. Much of it has taught us.
Conclusion: A good teacher, later a good person. :)

best regards
Personal branding (biography), compassion (labor of love) and didactic talent ( learning by examples). Enthusiasm for the taught subject is paramount, not the full mastery of all details. The planned curriculum economy makes distinct teachers a rare species (pedagogical diversity is endangered).
Expert teachers can read their students thoroughly, each student have a distinguished personality from others, the good teacher can find solutions to students' dilemmas, and encourage his talents.
Teacher with good handwriting attracts student in management college as they just want to copy
My first foundamental ethical issue: knowledge, if not shared, does not increase and serves no purpose. I always evaluate teachers and students from love and commitment that they transfer to others in sharing knowledge and experience with humbleness.

Aren't we a part of our teachers? Can the mirror show something different?
Thank you.

Conclusion: A good teacher, later a good person.:)

the best chance to meet a good teacher.
Teaching is a noble profession. Be noble you will be different
Successful teachers have clear goals, determination and administration.they do not hesitate ; they have a positive attitude, consistent, reflextive and risk-takers.
Teaching is an art and it requires satisfactory completion of different stages of learning process. There are different stages of learning process: Knowledge, Understanding, Application, Analysis and Synthesis. Best approach is based on Theory and Practice(Theoprax Process). It requires an aptitude of learning.Successful teachers develop an aptitude of learning through various stages of learning process.
A Gd teacher always uses teaching strategy according to their student’s needs & understand students well..
When students realize that their success makes the teacher happy; they work even harder to make him happier. Teaching is a difficult balance between being friendly without being friend.
Experience and scientific knowledge with personality makes teacher successful in teaching.
A teacher must be helpful and sincere in doing his job. Thus, students will notice this and be more attracted to his lectures And Consequently being more attentive
A great teacher inspires student to reach greater heights not possible without their teacher.
The teacher should be friendly to his/her students. Understands their need socially and scientifically. When they love their teacher, then they lover the subject. The teacher should be motivated to use different tools and methods in order to teach them. For example I send my students to companies during summer time to get training and teach them how they should act as a normal person in society.
The ability to impact knowledge with ease by breaking every barrier to difficulty of understanding on the part of the learners.
I had some good teachers in my life. They not only taught understandably but also was a good example of a human and gave me good advice about my life.
Hard work, positive will towards work and dedication and continuity to work may reward every body !
The teachers who influenced me were those who respected their students. We are generally taught to respect elders including teachers too. Over the years, I have observed that respect is mutual. Students respect those teachers who respect their students. To me, a successful teacher is the one who is able to inspire students to be respectful to others and create love for learning among the students.
I find what makes teachers so different and a successful is their responsibility to the students and their experiences in the industry. From a personal experience from teaching dyslexia students whilst they are in an non-dyslexic world is very difficult and it is my role to change this position by making the environment which they come to me a dyslexic world. This means providing the up to date equipment for them to use within the session to aid their learning and try and get the same equipment for them from the DSA for he same environment to continue at home. This support continues with study support and counselling as a part of their support network and is available when they need it. The result is more of a success as they have learn to control their dyslexia and achieve their goals. And as a teacher, we have succeeded as the student have pass their qualifications.
The best and successful teacher is 1) who is well knowledgeable in his/her field of study and 2) who feel and understand his/her students.
Having a good persona makes the teacher lovable and successful. Moreover, having a good style in teaching supports his or her persona to do his or her job successfully.
Passion for teaching creates a sincere teachers; one that teaches from the heart...not from the book.
Content knowledge comes after, for learners can sense a teacher who is passionate and sincere from the first meeting; so make a good impact. (Correction in last post...a sincere teacher),
To echo Reza Elmabruk’s comment, sincerity/authenticity (especially in terms of making sure to present one’s enthusiasm for the growth, development, and ideas of the students; sharing the course material and skills with one’s class; and demonstrating that you as an instructor are genuinely jazzed by teaching itself in a way that students can identify this and respond to it. Obviously maintaining all 3 of these simultaneously 100% of the time would be a Herculean task (everyone has an off day or week once in awhile, sometimes problematic elements or abnormally disruptive students can lead to frustration on both the instructor’s and students’ behalf, bureaucratic obstacles or toxic climates due to poor funding, a breakdown in communication or cooperation between institutional leaders and the collegial half of an institution, or policy changes that come hand in hand with one or more perceived negative consequences in lieu of identifiable benefits, among others...)
Despite the numerous metaphorical caltrops such as the laundry list of aforementioned difficulties that have the potential to get strewn all around instructors, this is where that sincere enthusiasm becomes not only a dire necessity in terms of facilitating student learning and development but it is also a much needed means of helping instructors happily and productively maintain their own sanity and professional agency.
Even without reading every single response to this question, I’d be willing to bet that a significant majority of responders in someway mentioned or described something that dovetailed with how effective instructors in their own lives were able and took the time to NOTICE them/their work/ideas/etc. That act of noticing —making a student feel visible— is such a powerful and nearly universally needed form of validation for students. However, for that act of noticing/validation to reach its peak efficacy or have the possibility of deeply, truly shaping a student and helping facilitate their development as students AND individuals/human beings, it must go hand in hand with authentic, genuine sincerity on the part of the instructor. In short, what good is praise or acknowledgement when it’s coming from a teacher who appears to hate/be indifferent towards what they are doing or the material they’re teaching, or coming from an instructor who appears to be phoning it in?
I suppose this raises the following questions of how do we find the things that allow us to feel that authentic enthusiasm or sincerity for our subject matter/students/classes/etc. (especially if admins may be forcing certain curricula into our lessons or various problematic elements are weighing us down —potentially personal, professional, or both— and how do we maintain this genuine sincerity and enthusiasm especially in the face of adversity or failure?
Real involvement of a teacher with full dedication with his students in a class in imparting education always helps in making a good and successful teacher.
A teacher's success is defined on count of successful students and success of their students.
and this only makes a teacher different from other teachers.
one such good and different teacher's life is depicted in one of my book.
the link is as given below.

One last addition to provide a theoretical framework that in my albeit middling amount of experience as an instructor, the theories that made dynamic and immensely beneficial changes to my teaching and my students’ experiences were transformational leadership theory and servant leadership theory
Michael Kroesche
"transformational leadership theory and servant leadership theory" these are important. Thanks.
In my experience, students like teachers with humor, those, who are not too serious (on the other hand, they keep the rigor), those, who can always make a laugh in the class, those who create surprises... It keeps the attention and the creative supporting atmosphere in the classroom.
The most important "good teacher feature" is in my opinion good personality - caring, generous, emphatetic, also emotionally stable and satisfied.
Of course, the knowledge is a must. Otherwise the teacher is insecure and that creates tension.

"The most important "good teacher feature" is in my opinion good personality - caring, generous, emphatetic, also emotionally stable and satisfied"
thanks for your contribution
Teachers who enjoy their profession show it in all they do, especially in how considerately they treat their learners. Learners then do all they can do to excel in that learning environment.
Great teachers are teachers that teach the subject (does not matter what subject) with life experience. Always initiate students for good works. Always forgive their mistakes. Always allow them to improve themselves. Treat students with respects, kind, love, tender same as they wanted people to treat them. Firm with care and sense of humor.
I think a great teacher is someone who loves what he/she does and tries to do it the best way possible, not only in educational terms but also from a personal view. A great teacher is close to and engaged with their students and their needs. Someone who empathises with them and understand them, and thus he/she is always searching the best ways of get to them. A great teacher is a guiding light in their students lives.
I think a great teacher is one who can teach well, and makes sure that he/she gives the best to the pupil both in caring and in personal issues. The best way to know this is by looking back to ones school days on how you were treated or related with . That one teacher that comes to mind is he/she who understands your plight at the time.
The single most powerful determinant of teacher success is the relative quality of the students assigned to her or his classroom. The U.S. Congress and each of the state governments have, for the last 53 years, been ordering schools to “reform” by adopting “innovative” pedagogical schemes in hopes that they will succeed in educating all students as effectively as they educate the ablest students. If any of the school reform fads had ever been valid, they would be replicable. Any that were replicable would be replicated everywhere and the all academic achievement gaps would disappear. The cause of academic failure of children is not hiding in a K-12 classroom. It is living openly in the households that treat their children more like annoyances than treasures. Children who fail in school (and in life) do not need better schools. They need better childhoods.
I agree with what others said. To add, a good teacher is one who is aware of his/her students' individual strengths and weaknesses and utilises such aspects when teaching.
The warmness, accessibility, enthusiastic and caring approach
makes a teacher different and successful.
For me a Teacher is always a Teacher without the definition of good and bad. The one who makes you a person to stand up right infront of the life challenges. Teaching is an art and using this art creatively, innovatively, and honestly according to the needs of learner make a teacher successful and different.
To treat the students as a compassionate father and to be strong and influential personality and to abide by the principles he advocates
Sound knowledge of the subject, passion for teaching, and good rapport with the students always help in making a teacher different and successful.
When you notice in him the desire to draw you out more than you give yourself, and when he wants to make you more successful than him. These are teachers / professors who live in you and after their deaths.
Not only teacher, dedication to the work makes every man different and successful in the consideration of actual contribution.
Thanks.
Preparation and early planning of lessons: The teacher must early preparation of classes early, by: Organizing work is important, better than sitting late at night to plan lessons. At the beginning of each week, a special lesson plan must be written for each class taught by the teacher. The teacher must prepare different methods to teach lessons, such as: writing tasks, videos, contests, and other methods. Preparing a detailed calendar for a month or even two months helps to schedule different classes of the lesson. If you are studying in a high school or college, it is best to share this calendar with students.
Use of technology: The use of technology in teaching is useful to students rather than using repetitive methods of teaching lessons. The use of technology is through presentations to convey information to students, to give students information through a short film or to use some important applications in education, Include some new information and lessons for students via mobile phone.
Make the teaching method inspiring: The teacher must make his teaching method inspirational; so that students get the greatest amount of fun, excitement and curiosity while giving the lesson, and if allowed to do some changes to his educational materials, and this will increase his pleasure In teaching, and also increases the fun of students
Defining classroom policies: It is important for the teacher to identify classroom policies, to teach students that there are laws and guidelines to follow and follow within the classroom, and that these policies are based on the teacher's own curriculum, such policies or laws
Commitment to professional dress: The way the teacher in dress has a great role in the formation of a good look by the students to him, and make him in their eyes more professional and reliable so it is better to have a dress for professional clothes
change the way of he or she teaching , make the lesson more interesting and easy to understand by using the technology
This is dependent upon which country you are teaching in and to which students. Context is important as students and their expectations differ from school to school. Meeting the students needs is the key - so focus on the student.
Ever since high school, I took notice of all the teachers who added life lessons in our topics for discussions.
Teaching can be fun if teachers can be creative in their approach . More so. Kids loves any thing that can captivate their attention and mind, hence the use of Technology could be useful in this sense.
A succesful teacher is the one who is flexible and thinks and organises the lesson in a truly child centered way. In other words is the one who recognises and respects the students interests and needs and find fun and interesting ways to help the children develop and also achive the academic goals.
Successful teachers are dedicated and caring and empathize with their students. They prepare interesting attractive material and engage all their students in an enjoyable and memorable learning journey. Above all, they teach from the heart not from the book.
Successful teachers organize an active and entertainment class environment for their students learning. Main problem how do this ?
https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_teaching_method_are_you_using_to_make_active_and_enjoyable_learning_environment_in_your_class
The use of the method of humor and fun from time to time; A smile to dispel the concerns of the student related to the teacher, and make him come to the lesson loving him and his school.
Use motivation as a kind of encouragement for good behavior and correct answers; this will develop student ambition, awaken the spirit of enthusiasm and positive competition among students, and increase interaction with the teacher in the lesson. The student likes to be praised for his good behavior and academic excellence, and feel joy when the teacher appreciates the value of what he has done.
Use the best ways to explain the lesson as much as possible, by using the practical aspect, for example, in introducing the lesson, such as the teacher and his students going to a nearby park to describe what they are seeing. As well as to give students the opportunity to deduce information on their own and other ways that students love, and that their love of the material and the way to teach it leads to love and appreciation of the teacher in the result.
I think the ability of the teacher to deliver in class makes him or her more successful. In my case, the ability of one of my former teachers made me put myself under his wings. I just found him become my mentor without us ever discussing it. In his mentorship of me, he was truthful, hardworking and kind to me
the most successful teachers nowadays are not just transmitting their knowledge but they are great mentors of teaching and thinking critically. they should help them to be transformers of the status quo with various challenges . otherwise, the world cannot solve the problems
I think it's a very good question.
Sometimes pedagogical success models are restricted to being a good connoisseur of teaching content.
This perception is not acceptable from an integrating pedagogy, not even the cases of teachers who know their subject well and explain it well.
The true models of pedagogical success are those that agree with those teachers who also achieve good learning. Those who achieve lasting transformations in the students, be men fit for life; not the ones that force to overcome painful and invincible examinations.
The most universal Cuban José Martí: teacher, poet, philosopher, journalist, exceptional thinker and, last but not least, national hero said:
"... and by the examination it is seen if the teacher is of halter and porrillo, that takes of the narigón to the poor creatures, or if it is father of men that enjoys when doing to fly to the wings of the soul".
My most memorable teachers cared, nurtured my curiosity, and believed in me.
A teacher remembered for whole of life is one that have tears for you in his/her eyes praying for your success and giving more insight of life ahead.
In order to be different, a teacher needs to have her/his own teaching style which invites student 's attention and interest. For becoming successful, a teacher must have dedication and commitment to the profession and ability to develop good rapport with his/ her students.
A caring friendly teacher who empathises with the students an is passionate about his/her profession; a teacher who teaches from the heart...not just from the book.
Change the method of teaching to become a successful teacher: The method of explanation in each lesson is not the same way, a type of explanation method, once used the method of dialogue and discussion, and other method of collaborative learning, and the third method of theater and so on, in the way of explanation and not boring.
Prepare your lesson well. Good preparation helps the teacher to reach his goal in speed, and good preparation is in determining the behavioral goals, determining the appropriate educational method, determining the appropriate explanation method to determine the feedback, and finally the diagnostic and final calendar
Develop yourself: In the sense that you educate yourself with general information in everything, and know everything that is new about your specialty and do not be left to laziness
A good teacher is one who works with mind and kind, loves what you do and deliver content in a creative and systematic means with the intention to sow good seed.
Scientific competence: It is the basic tasks of the teacher to provide the students with the information and expertise they need in the prescribed material. It is assumed that the teacher is aware of this information correctly and clearly, as it is obvious that the missing thing does not give him. The teacher can not provide the student with proper information if he is not absorbed. Hence the idea of specialization, as the teacher is expected to specialize in a branch of science and be able to. Of course, this does not relieve him know what is outside his specialty.
