project-based learning is an instructional practice which helps students to construct their knowledge and necessary skills. It can challenge students in all level of study because it meet the nature of learning in the 21st century.
I believe that the most important reason for the students to "carry-over" knowledge and expertise throughout their academic as well as professional career is "Learning by doing". Otherwise students study courses in a theoretical fashion, get grades and then may forget the real essence of a course. Anything taught using "Learning by doing" approach is fully (or semi) permanent. Essentially, project-based learning centres (in addition to the usual laboratories of various courses in an institute) play a pivotal role to practically realize "Learning by doing" approach. Moreover, such centres can boost "industry-academia" relationship where Master or PhD students have opportunities to work on real-world problems. So this is a 'win-win' situation.
I am game for the idea. Project based learning centers can make a difference in terms of enhancing postgraduate students' research skills and especially equip them with the necessary knowledge. When training is received, the quality of research will undoubtedly improve and writing skills will also be of better standards.
In my PBL center, First of all I defined a new project and register some students. Train step by step any courses related to project zero to 100. students should doing each steps after training. After doing first step of project by all students we should to start the second step of training and ......
Finally all students should to do all parts of project
From July 2016, my center start a new research based project for primary school students.
Project title:" Reducing energy consumption"
The Main objectives in this project are:
1)Training the engineering block diagrams
2) Training the MATLAB/SIMULINK Software
3)Training the mathematical design and modeling
4) Effective role effect on energy consumption ( insulating materials (walls, windows, floors and ceilings), thickness and Configuration glass windows, number and size of windows, ceiling height, the selection of comfort temperature and home design)
