Hi...

I am a research student, working on Bose Polaron. I need some help in understanding how the self trapping is happening for the impurity atom in the BEC of bosonic atoms and which kind of interaction is involved here, i.e how two neutral atoms are interacting that results Bose polaron?

Research papers imply that the Bose polaron is forming only in the case of 1st column atomic elements from the periodic table. Is there any reason behind considering the alkali atoms only?
