The virus is secreted surely by a substance that makes symptoms that appear in leaves of tomato and all parts of the plant, as a result of accumulation of substance due to infected of virus TYLCV. What is this substance? Is it Harmon or what else?
Please see this 2015 paper for some insights. The spread of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) was accompanied by the formation of 'coat protein (CP) aggregates and V2 protein aggregates'. With the progress of infection, 'CP aggregates' increased in size and formed large aggregates in the cytoplasm and later in the nucleus of infected tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) cells. TYLCV-induced CP aggregation processes were correlated with the development of the viral disease.
