Initially, the concept of this project is work in small urban cathcments (flash flood events, microdrainage areas) using maximum precipitation intensity and IDF equations. Then, we are creating a computational system called IDFAdmin to calculate maximum precipitation intensity and comparing with IDF curves. We are just working with IDF equations of municipalities that already adopted it oficially or if equation was already developed by any company or person (we are not designing new equations). About occurence of events, we are adopting national (brazilian) disasters database (S2ID) and our disasters database (Cemaden).

Do you already have selected municipalities for the first implementation?

For the disaster database, if you may, I sugest the use of the IPMet database.

I'm from UNESP - Bauru, and we have a working group with this database.

We are keen to expand the bank's users, and to make partnerships.

I´ve already done some conclusions in hydrology (microdrainage areas) for Bauru/SP and Enos worked in landslides for Salvador/BA.

Now, we´re working in computational system and testing it. But we've just starting this project some months ago and that is just the begining.

Cemaden's disasters database have been constructing just for operators to help them make decisions to send alerts for while. Talking to other operators here at Cemaden, they told me that Cemaden database will be accesed online in a near future.

If I'm not mistaken, I also used some information from UNESP IPMet database and it´s a very good online tool.
