Currently I'm working on the synthesis of pure and doped bioceramics, I would like to study the antibacterial property of the synthesized bioceramics. the major problem with these ceramics is solubility nature, they are neither soluble in water nor in any organic solvents like DMSO, Ethanol, Chloroform etc. please help me to overcome the difficulties in solubility of bioceramics. (Even i searched for published articles but they mostly never mentioned about the solubility of bioceramics for antibacterial studies)
Your question is very strange. Bioceramics must be insoluble; otherwise, it will be dissolved shortly after implantation. Therefore, soluble bioceramics is useless and, due to this reason, you are unable to find an info on bioceramics’ solubility in the literature.
If your purpose is doing anti-microbial test, why do you prefer to have your ceramic solubalized. As others have mentioned that would affect the ceramic propoerties and desired application. I would rather suggest you to perform the anti microbial test with ceramic discs of similar size.
One really dont require solubility for ceramics with antibacterial activity. It is surface property and mainly due to the other 'bio-active' groups attached to the ceramics..
