what is the relationship/intersection between security and management in the internet of things (IoT)?
i felt like there is a strong relationship between them maybe related to the access control..
anyone can make this point more clear please..

IoT needs extremely high level of security, more than bank accounts or banking needs it. If anything IoT can be used for monitoring many personal bodily (physiological) parameters, in addition to the obvious use in homes, offices, factories. An example could be an ECG monitor worn on the wrist which can be used to send vital heart signals to a distant cardiologist. Imagine a hacker getting access to the data, and instead of the cardiologist responding to the wearer's heart parameters (PQRST), the hacker sends a signal... the consequences could lead to unexpected effects including death.
I suppose you have heard of Prof Kevin Warwick, who had a small microchip implanted in his hand/arm. He uses the device for opening doors, as an example. Assume now it is IoT-enabled... you can imagine what might occur if a hacker gets access to the implant.
IoT of the kind I suggest above is not there yet but we will get there. Whether it will find acceptance is a $64 question. I would be wary of such devices reflecting IoT features.
PS: To be precise, for obtaining the PQRST heart signals, the electrodes must be attached to the chest; on the wrist we get the heart rate.
Security is integral part of Internet of Things as multiple and complex network exists among objects and actors. Any lapse in security in terms of information leak, or heck of crack may become chaotic for entire system.
In regards to your comment above, Dr Trivedi, we all know about cookies and their effects but with IoT, mor personal data could be collected, and goodness knows what the effect of that on one's personal life, however efficient and effective the security provisions may be....
