There are two question embedded in your question. One is the changes in baseline stock of organic carbon of soil and two , changes in the dynamics of carbon potentially added through biochar. The chances for later reslonse are bit time consuminsince biochar offers the most resistant form of carbon. It would have been worth discussing , had you highlighted the soil pH.
It will be an interesting study to compare the carbon loading capacity of such contrasting soil types. I think sandy soil with much lower soil pH will experience much higher magnitude of response in terms of improvement in organic carbon over time compared to rest of the other two soils. ..
