I noticed that citations in google scholar are almost double that recorded by RG, What is the justification behind this difference? Is it only ISI articles are included in RG, if so what about books which are not subjected to this criterium.

Its is good that you are keen to know about RG score and mechanisms ....Many debates, hot questions were marred on RG since its inception.
As I think RG is the only free platform where any knowledge seeker can join irrespective of holding educational degrees or certificates or even none of them.
