How to check the compression strength and tensile strength of tile of size 300mm x 300mm x 10mm.
Is there any standard procedure or standard codal provision approved by national laboratories/ governmental agencies for testing of compression strength and tensile strength of tiles.

The guidelines you sent shows the basic procedure for testing of concrete cubes and cylinders, but it does not clearly specify the procedure for testing the tile (both the compression and tension test). Is there any other guidelines which shows the test setup procedure?

The IS code you recommended has only the basic details about the water absorption, sorpitivity and flexural strength test but the code fails in providing the comprehensive and Tensile strength details.

Compressive and tensile strength of tile is not that much dominated for checking the quality of tiles. In my research I'm focusing on compressive and Tensile strength of tiles, why because I have used waste plastics as binder and filler in alternative Compositions at different percentages. And also I would to compare the result with conventionally available tile used in both internal and external applications. So I'm looking towards the procedure for testing compression and Tensile strength of tile.
If possible provide the test procedure.

Your best bet is to put it in a high cement-content concrete or grout and test it that way. Use the crushed tile as the only aggregate. Finely ground tile should have a pozzolanic effect. Too coarse and there may be alkali-silicate reactivity.
For tiles, flexural strength and water absorption tests are main and not the compressive strength.
In this test method, surfaces of ceramic tiles are tested for resistance to stains. Resistance is assessed after the staining agents are in contact with the tile surface for 24 hours. In this test method, chemical resistance of ceramic tiles at room temperature is determined.
