What is the procedure for accuracy assessment of LULC map derived from Landsat data?

I have generate a LULC map from Landsat ETM+ data by Supervised and unsupervised classification. But how could I know that the map has good accuracy or not? is there any way to find out the accuracy of the that LULC map?

Dear Mr Javed,

to increase the accuracy of the features extracted or seen on the satellite image you should increase the number of classes either in unsupervised classification or increase the number of sample which you are taken from the image at the time of classes in supervised classification.
