For this teacher should be identified as a primary teacher or student of secondary level . For primary teacher utmost importance is that the student should behavior in a disciplinary manner both in the class & also out side . Besides teacher should find out the interest of the subject which student are interested & even a weak student teacher should guide & help the student so that the student may learn the subject with the interest .
The teacher has important role especially in the primary schools , he must be teacher and father to all his student , educate them how to love learning , how to admire the parents and other people by using interesting ways that make them attracted to what he says ,, Best regards , Jawad Ali

By giving difficult tasks with little contribution... I do follow to ensure the tasks are accompanied.. after the exercise I would then enhance the effort of the students by giving my own full contribution and make corrections on the notice weak part of the students during the exercise.. also give them ways to tackle the problems they encounter during the task... this help the students to discover their full potential and help them to build their "I can do spirit and I will do spirit".... It help the teacher to discover extra ordinary student.... The roles of teacher is to bring out the best in the students and to enable them to discover their full potential...
The main responsibility of the teachers are the students; also, that they learn with meaning for life and can later develop independently, with and without the help of their teachers.
The primary responsibility of a teacher is to promote interest and inquiry into the subject under study. It is not to accept by rote the accepted dogma but to stimulate the student to think and to arrive at conclusions that increase understanding or promote further investigation. In the haste of modern times "teachers" are relagated to promoting the status quo whereas a true "teacher of men" is he or she who leads students to acquire knowledge as a consequence of their own internal reasoning processes. A teacher is one who can lead a student to see that Dostoevsky's statement "twice two is four is a marvellous thing but sometimes twice two is five can be beautiful thng as well" is the product of reasoned inquiry, which is what teachers and education are all about. "Teaching" dogma is propaganda, it is not "teaching".
The priority for now would be to develop students' good values and characters - to become active and effective members of society. Teachers need to instill these values that students themselves become links of larger positive chain-reaction for the betterment of the world.
Of course, to help, guide and groom learners to be better citizens (in character and academic training as highlighted by Prof. Okeke) to effectively play their roles as full fledged members of the society.
To allow the educator to find his / her professional paths, contributing in an orientative and discursive way, without using police actions. Imposition can be a hindrance in learning and give opposite result.
Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement of the individual students besides providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters.
to be honest it largely depends on the individual schools. Each one will have its own contract for teachers which will include their duties and responsibilities. Look up teaching roles on job hunter websites. There is usually a person spec and a job spec document attached which contains the expected responsibilities.
Mostly these include - teaching a set number of hours a year (in most full time contracts I am aware of this amounts to approx. 24 hours a week give or take a few hours of actual student contact time). In addition to this you are required to plan the lessons you are expected to deliver, write assessments, mark assessments, perform required internal verification of the marking of other teachers, keep records of student progress and other assessment duties. Then you may have pastoral tutor duties which not only include actual contact time (both group tutorial and one to one sessions) with students but also time spent monitoring attendance and carrying out disciplinary duties. Some places also require you to perform break duties on a rota system (luckily I have not had to do this for several years - FE does not do this) but even when you are not officially on duty you are expected to be modelling good behaviour for students at all times.
there are parents evenings and interview evenings. The former applies to both FE and schools while the latter applies to FE only. These are evenings where you are expected to be in work - either talking to parents or carrying out enrolment interviews for prospective students. Some have a certain number of hours of these contracted (for example one job I had insisted in the contract on 44 interviews a year - but allowed teachers to decide when they booked these - whereas another simply expected all available staff to be there every time there was an interview night). You are also often expects teachers to stay up to date with your subject area as well as teaching practise through regular professional development days. Again, one job I had even had set in the contract a number of days a year you were expected to be in your vocational area doing work.
Be honest with profession, do prepare before lecture even if you had been teaching it for so many years...be kind, loving and give respect...be there to help students even apart from studies .... in short Be a role model for his students...
Be prepared in the subject matter the teacher is going to teach in order to engage and inspire students to want to learn more. Be dedicated to students' learning and try to accommodate different learning styles. Be respectful of students' opinions/points of view. With these 3 traits teachers should be able to develop an effective learning environment in their classrooms, where learning unravels pleasantly and critical thinking and curiosity are always celebrated.
Dear Bruno, I agree with your contribution. However, some external factors or "variables" may negatively influence the teacher's performance. The first one, certainly involving low wages and the delay in the payment of wages! This certainly discourages any professional. Other factors that I have observed in my experience as a teacher in higher education are when students arrive at us with poor knowledge bases, given the poor quality of high school. Cheers!
The prime responsibility of a teacher is to educate a student not only from the point of view of syllabus and curriculum but also from the point of view of building the character making them responsible citizens and persons.
The prime responsibility of teacher is to be just, honest, sincere, loyal and unbiased towards learners. Like a qualitative researcher, teacher should keep all his/her biases of color, religion, sect, culture, ethnicity, geography, language, and any field that I am missing, ASIDE , and make learning possible for sake of prosperity of humanity. In this way, teacher will fulfill his/her higher purpose of making learning possible and minds to grow, body to nourish, and human beings to strive for better and peaceful world. Regards!
To contribute to an integral formation of the new generations, that is the first duty.
This integral formation must allow the young person to be successful in his time. Our national hero Jose Marti said: Make man float on his time and not be crushed by his time.
In order to educate new generations well, the educator must first prepare himself well and in our days that aspiration requires reading, publishing scientific papers, exchanging with colleagues, exhibiting experiences in congresses and many other things that make our profession a little stressful.
If the university professor is stressed, he gives back to his students a failed pedagogical intervention.

To make the students assume their only learning and when necessary to help them in any advise. This is the modern assumption of school where the responsibilities are transferred to pupils and the teachers becomes in a secondary plan - see my work https://www.academia.edu/10143988/Introducing_a_New_International_School
In this role is no longer the teacher connected to the information and knowledge for students and Mlguena them, has become the teacher's role in this field assistant to students in the learning and teaching process, where students participate in preparing for lessons, research, study, enlightened guidance and directing the efficient teacher who is aware of the technical methods and technology education and has the ability and skills Which aims at helping students to employ knowledge in various areas of life
It is known in the modern educational age that the student is the focus of the educational process in its various dimensions. This process aims at first and foremost the overall development of the student "spiritually, mentally, cognitively and spiritually." As the teacher is the field of education and educational process, he is responsible for achieving these behavioral goals through his positive educational performance
The Role of the Teacher in the Responsibility of Discipline and System Preservation The teacher in the field is an assistant and a facilitator to achieve positive social behavior among the students in order to achieve discipline and order. This can not be achieved through orders and domination, but through the promotion of a democratic atmosphere aimed at sponsoring students in this field. Keeping the system and discipline within the limits of their ability and potential in general The student who contributes to the decision-making respect and apply, for example when the school in the event of riots and violations of the laws and instructions and violation of the systems of time falls on the teacher to involve students in the study of reasons and work And therefore take recommendations and suggestions on treatment and of course must be directed and guidance of educators in these events and procedures
he role of the teacher as an administrator for the level of student achievement and evaluation: The good level of achievement in various educational fields of knowledge, and emotional and skill is a target prominent successful teacher seeks to follow and achieve using all technical methods and technology education in the care of the level of his students grades throughout the school year, but the school and years, in A field of curriculum and curricula. The successful teacher is the one who employs the regulations concerning the evaluation of students in the fields of cognitive, emotional and skill in a targeted and effective manner
The role of the teacher as a mentor: Although it is difficult for the teacher to take the role of guidance and guidance to students, it must be a careful observation of human behavior, and must respond positively when it hinders the emotions of the student learning and must also know the right time to turn the student to a psychologist asking for help
A teacher is threefold responsable: first to the student, second for the quality of his knowledge and the learning process, third for himself as teacher.
The teacher is one of the pillars of the educational process where he bears the responsibility of educating the learner and teaching him. Education has been a tool for change, development and innovation. Developed countries have invested their resources in the human element at the hands of competent teachers who have loved education as a profession rather than a job. The responsibility of the teacher is not easy, Its ruthlessness and greatness are its responsibility only from those who carry it with sincerity and conscience
The prime responsibility of the teacher, insofar as higher learning is concerned, is neither towards his students nor to his peers but almost exclusively to the subject he is teaching. He is not swayed by the popularity among students nor by the admiration or jealousy of his colleagues. In the temple of learning his prime object of worship is his subject which alone justifies his existence as teacher.
The responsibility of the teacher is not limited to education, but is also responsible for helping his pupils to understand the world around them starting with the small environment in which they move "neighborhood, village" and then to the slightly wider circle "center, city" and then the homeland and then the Islamic world. The teacher is the key to opening the doors to knowledge and information for his students
I think the main responsibility of a teacher (university teacher) is transfer to his students the knowledge about a subject obtained through the study and research in that academic field and according to the academic freedom.
The prime responsibility of a teacher is creative realizing his vocation (calling) through formation and educational training. If teacher is responsible for it, he passionately and professionally responds to his students, he stimulates and supports their development observing moral values and rules. If he is rich inside he "infects" others and motivates them for better and more beautiful life where there is a place for reflection, openness to others, servitude etc.
The teacher performs a pedagogic and pedagogic role for the students in the first place. Education, discipline and adapting the same student positively to receive knowledge and respect for his family is the key to receiving science. This task is carried out by the teacher in particular who received prior education in teacher training institutes, For teachers, and improve their educational levels. Many universities today and community colleges have devoted specializations to teaching educational sciences and giving specialized lectures on modern methods of education, which benefit these teachers In their educational and educational life.
There is no difference between the importance of the teacher and his role in the educational and educational process, and that it is the first point in which the generations are moving towards the future in all nations. However different the circumstances may have been or have changed. However, the teacher has a great role and influence on the educational, social and educational process of these generations. Respect and appreciation of the teacher and give him the powers that help him to perform his mission to provide a generation of educated educated with the best values and principles that will help him
Teacher's prime responsibility is similar to a nurse's prime responsibility in assisting a woman to give birth to a child - it is to give a safe child life delivery in the latter case, and to give reliable professional knowledge delivery service in the former one.
Above all things I hope the education of the common people will be attended to; convinced that on their good sense we may rely with most security for the preservation of a due degree of liberty.
The role of the teacher as a member of his profession: The teacher must belong to the profession in which he works, organize for its union, maintain its honor and reputation, and constantly seek to grow and develop through the teachers' associations and their unions because these institutions always seek to develop and renew their teachers through meetings, seminars and publications. The teacher in this role is required to contribute to the activity of these institutions and associations because of its positive returns in the field of professional growth
