Unlike ,synthetic or bio-medical substances ,whose development starts from
basic in-vitro and i-vivo biological and animal studies and gets extended to human patients evaluations....the traditional herbal drug formulations are based on direct human trials . Attempts for any changes in formulations, or newer drug delivery systems should be cautious and evaluated for retaining same clinical efficacy.
@ Chakravarthy Sir- Presently formulation science have been characterised for developement of improved formulations of Herbal extracts for its bioavailability and overall efficacy. At this stage we are dealing with Phytosomes, Nano formulations and some other characterized form for surface penetration. Some what we have a large scope to devote our practical expertise on the same. Though scientists, who are working for the novel development in Herbal drug delivery can educate us for the future developments. Thanks
