We want to protonate the polyaniline with CSA for gas sensor. I would like to know that what is the best ratio of CSA/ polyaniline for better protonation of polyaniline as a gas sensor?
For NH3 gas testing it is 1:1. Meanwhile, if you seek towards increasing the material conductivity it is better to use organic nanocomposites with PANI better than CSA.

1:1 would be a 100% excess doping; in PAni, every 2nd monomer unit can accept a proton, so acid:monomer unit ratio should be 0.5:1
It depend upon degree of required protonation and desired conductivity. In my opinion you should optimize the concentration.
as I said, there is just 1 (one) single optimum which is 0.5:1; anything below leads to lower conductivity, anything above is meaningless excess and just additional acid around for no purpose which will make the sensor function not reproducible.
