Incidentally, I found a very useful web page (I believe it was from FAO) that can be used to calculate water need for various types of crops. Users select a location from a map. This is good because it determines the climatic profile at your location automatically. Then, you select the type of crop and determine the start day of planting. After the calculation, a result file in cvs can be exported to the local drive. The result table contains information like; Prc., Wet Days, ETo, ETc, ETa, Crop Days, ETc-Crop, Crop Deficit, GW Recharge, Drain, and Soil Water. I have attached an example of a file generated by that website.
