I publish articles on different topic but mostly connected with marketing and journalism.
In my opinion, it is not about quantity it is about quality. If you can write 100 unique and interesting articles on your topic it is great! But if you know that you will repeat one thing again and again it is bad option. My number per year is 25 articles.

I know that It depends on your research topic.
Regarding a Scopus search, I found out that the normal number of publication per year for a civil engineering topic to become a trend is more than 1800 paper/year and for a unique topic, it is less than 100 per year.
