I am studying Agricultural Engineering and more specifically Biosystems Engineering. Also, I am working in one of the sub-categories of my field which is Precision Agriculture.

Precision agriculture can be defined as “the application of modern information technologies to provide, process and analyze multi-source data of high spatial and temporal resolution for decision making and operations in the management of crop production”

(National Research Council, 1997).

In Precision Agriculture, we use IoT technologies as well as AI technologies. One of the most used AI applications in agriculture is Computer-Vision(Classification - Object Detection - Segmentation etc) using Deep Learning. Other branches of AI technologies are also used but they are not as common as the one mentioned above.
