I would be grateful if someone could suggest a fast but very effective method(s) to extract labile carbon fractions from air-dried soil samples.

You may try to determine the hot water–soluble C in whole soil
subsamples (10 g) by shaking with 100-mL deionized water
for 1 h followed by centrifugation at 1000 rpm for 30 min,
and the supernatant was filtered through a 0.45-mm membrane
(Campbell et al., 1999).

Walkley and Black rapid titration method is the most effective method for determining soil carbon (Walkley & Black, 1934), using different fractions of acids to oxidise carbon at per their oxidising tendency depending on lability of OC. Check the report attached for titration method.
