I am depositing manganese metal from sulphate bath. In some cases I found tree formation in my deposit which reduces the current efficiency although I maintain the required conditions necessary for manganese deposition. What is the main reason for this?

I read that paper. I maintain the temperature of the bath at 37 to 39 C. But it results tree formation along with nodular deposit. What may be the reason?
Was the pH in between 8.2-8.5 during the conduct of the experiment? Pls. check at different intervals.

I am depositing manganese in the pH range of 7.5 to 8.0. That does not exceed more than 8.2. But still there is growth in tree. There may be some other reason. Sehgal, are you in the same field?
